KSE Committee decision no. (5) for the year 2007
Regarding the suspension of dealing with listed companies if they merged with another
company listing of which has been refused
After
the perusal of the Decree issued on 14/8/1983 organizing the Kuwait Stock Exchange.
And
the decision of the Minister of Commerce and Industry no. (35) for the year 1983
to issue KSE bylaws.
And
the decision of KSE Committee no. (1) for the year 2007 in respect of the rules
and conditions for listing shareholding companies in the official market.
And
the decision of KSE Committee no. (2) for the year 2007 in respect of the rules
and conditions for listing shareholding companies in the parallel market.
And
the decision of KSE Committee no. (3) for the year 2007
And
according to KSE work interest
And
after the approval of the Market Committee.
The
following has been decided:
Article (1)
Dealing
should be suspended in the shares of any listed company if it acquires or merges
with another company listing of which has been refused and this for 12 months starting
from the effective date of merger. Dealing with the shares of merged company shall
not resume after this period unless the market committee consent is granted and
the conditions set by this committee are fulfilled. This period could be extended
to any other period set by the market committee.
Article (2)
This
decision shall come into force from the date of its issuance and the Market Director
shall execute it.
